History:
Mizuko was born in The Northern Water Tribe. She lived there for some quite time until one day there was a snow storm while she was learning ‘bloodbending’ and somehow she hit her head. She was out for an unknown time and she wondered off to the docks following some people. The airship landed at some village and the young girl followed a group of people who traveled to Republic City. This group took care of her on the way there then deserted her. The young girl had no idea who she was or her family was but now she was living on the streets. One day when she was eight, she decided to give herself a name and it was Serenity after hearing it from a young mother calling her child. Shortly after arriving at Republic City, a eldly woman named May adopted the child. May taught the girl to cook and other basic stuff, this went on until she was sixteen when May passed away leaving young Serenity alone. By watching people and experiementing with machines, she learned a trade where she eventually got a job which lead to multiple jobs. She was always seen as a “outcast” for her unusual eye color but didn’t care because she always did the work others didn’t. Young Serenity had enough money to get a bank account and with work kept coming. Over the years, she earned enough money to buy a house then a satomobile. Serenity moved out of her ‘homeless house’ but kept returning to it to see how it was being kept. By her 25th birthday she was able to retire from working but she continued to work. On some nights, she would continue to experiment with machines as a hobby which produced a pair of gloves that could knock a person off their feet with a burst of air. A little afterwards, the Equalist movement started but it didn’t hook the young woman with interest. She kept to herself and since it was troubling times wore her gloves as protection not only to cover the scars she had gotten while living on the streets.
Eventually the Equalist movement did catch Serenity in its net but it was a week before the attack on Republic City. One day she was walking around in the underground tunnels where she first saw Amon. Not paying any attention to where she was going eventually fell into a transporter with her feet pointing up. The noise got his attention and after getting out felt people staring at her, she turned and saw Amon looking at her. Serenity, even though wearing the uniform feeling embrassed ran off hiding somewhere.
